Benidorm

BENIDORM & VILLAJOYOSA

Benidorm is probably the most well known, and well loved cities in the entire Costa Blanca. It is said that Benidorm was the start of charter tourism as we know it in the 1950’s and the city has continued to grow from a small fisher village to a tourist destination for between 4 to 5 million tourists every year. Benidorm is also known as The Manhattan of Spain, because of the city’s high rise skyline.

Benidorm is divided into Poniente, Levante (which are also the names of two long beaches in central Benidorm) and the Old Town. The Old Town has narrow, cobblestoned streets buzzing with life and if you are after some traditional tapas, The Old Town of Benidorm has a plethora of tapas restaurants, visited by the locals.

Benidorm is known for a buzzing nightlife, with bars and pubs, and especially british ones, on every street corner. However, Benidorm is not just for the party people. With its two, white sandy beaches, that are perfect for families of all ages, and the city being very accessible for the older generation, Benidorm is truly a city that has something for everyone whatever you might be looking for. The number of restaurants, bars and small shops seems endless, just like the spanish summer nights.
